*Adamitism reminds me of the wonderful Gymnosphisti (“or naked philosophers or wise men”) who were reported to practice ascetic worship in the nude, and in some cases in one position all day long. The race of gymnosophists was first mentioned by Plutarch and was most likely based on witnessing the yogic practices of ancient Indian “Bragmanni,” sages, or monks.

*Although members of the tribe tend to stand out more often than not, and are famous for appearing suddenly, we especially invoke (on this long, dark night of the winter solstice in particular) all the emicant beings of our known and unknown realms.

[Origin: From Greek kerauno meaning "thunderbolt" or literally "crusher" and scopein meaning "to see."]

*The archetypal “crushers” (namely the thunderbolt-wielding gods such as Jupiter and Thor) have long been associated with the oak tree, which being typically robust and tall, was frequently struck by lightning. In early times, thunder and lightning, when read as signs must have made their point quite loudly and clearly. To me the contemporary message is that that even the mighty must eventually fall.

*Intercrural intercourse (also known as diamerizein, meaning “to do it between the thighs”), nicknamed the “gay male missionary position” was common in the Ancient Greek system of pederasty, and seems to be (other than a courting ritual in which the erastes held the chin of the eromenos and titlated his genitals after winning him over with love tokens such as wild game) the only permissible form of sexual expression between men, all others being deemed degrading.
